It's a wonderful hands-on, fun way to teach children about maps, directions, latitude/longitude and geography. We found a cache that had been hidden in the woods behind Stop and Shop. We left an item behind. We took a travel bug from within. The travel bug will be brought to a new location in central Massachusetts. Great fun!<br />In addition, we learned how to Blog. This is my first entry. Blogging is a great way to integrate technology into the classroom. We reviewed <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Wikis</span> and <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Podcasts</span> as well as reviewed chapters from <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Lindquist's</span> book, <em>Seeing the Whole Through Social Studies. </em>It was an exciting, full day filled with important, helpful information that I look <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">forward</span> to incorporating into my classroom.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8819299079044593130-6032228715141138317?l=mrscareyeducation.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Mrs. Careyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01583586321079212425noreply@blogger.com2
